When Maxine contacted me a few months ago about taking photos of her boys on an old drilling rig that has been in her family her whole life, I was so excited! She explained that her dad and Granddad had a family-owned well drilling business and the drilling rig may be sold soon. Taking photos of this sentimental machine that was a big part of her family’s history with her boys and her dad was so important to her– and I was more than happy to capture these memories!

I can honestly say that sessions like this are some of my favorites. Freezing moments in time to preserve a family’s legacy is so special and I feel so honored to be able to do this for my clients! We also took a few photos of Maxine and her sweet pup who is turning 10 this year. And after losing our own cat this year, I know first hand just how special having photos with your pets are.
