I know I’ve said this before, but getting to take photos for my friends during a new season of life is so special for me! Back in January when when Ashley & Brian told us they were expecting their first baby, I immediately began planning their maternity session in my head! I couldn’t wait to document this special time for them and a few weeks ago, we made it happen! Of course the weather on the day of their maternity photos was what you’d typically expect for a summer day in Ohio. First, beautiful skies followed by pop-up thunderstorms. But since I was already at their house for their session, we decided we’d wait it out and see what happened! Luckily the heavy rain stopped after 20 minutes and we headed outside even though it was still sprinkling! It actually made for beautiful lighting in the photos and you honestly couldn’t even tell it was less than ideal conditions!

After we took photos of just mom & dad, we added in their two pups Nala and Nymeria — and let me tell you, they are two of my favorite dogs ever!! The girls were definitely ready for their close ups, so make sure you scroll to the end to see how cute they looked!

Ashly & Brian, we absolutely cannot wait to meet baby Henry this September! You both are going to be such amazing parents and we’re excited to watch him grow!
