When I think back to Kate & Sawyer’s wedding day, the first word that comes to my mind is joyful! From the moment I walked into Kate’s getting ready room, until the final moments on the dance floor at the end of the night- I was surrounded by nothing but pure joy. An added bonus was that Ohio gave us the most beautiful weather for this wedding and the gorgeous grounds at The Blair Center created a perfect backdrop for Kate & Sawyer’s best day ever!

This wedding day was so stress-free and laid back and it truly showed throughout the whole day! Our timeline was spot on and we never felt rushed– which is always such a blessing on a wedding day! Kate and Sawyer had an amazing first look, which allowed us to have lots of time for photos of just the bride and groom. (Which if you know me, you know this makes me the happiest photographer in the world!) I also want to say that the bridal party was INCREDIBLE!! Kate & Sawyer’s family and friends that made up the bridal party were so sweet and were so much fun! We had the best time taking photos with their group.

After photos, we headed to the gorgeous tented ceremony site where Kate & Sawyer made it official! From there, it was time to party!! And let me tell you, their guests certainly loved to dance! I also have to note that you’ll see me in one of the group photos below because this wedding was essentially a PR Kent reunion. There were so many Kent State alumni there and it was so wonderful to see so many familiar faces!

One of my favorite parts of this wedding day was the sunset photos. After dinner, we headed out to the golf course right next to the Blair Center and spent fifteen minutes capturing the newlyweds in the gorgeous light from the sunset. I truly believe there’s nothing better than giving my bride and groom a few minutes to soak up the last few minutes together- just the two of them- on their wedding day to really take it all in. Because after those moments, it’s right back to the dance floor surrounded by all of your family and friends. Taking a few minutes to just celebrate the fact that you’re married, is something that I’ll always love giving to my couples.

Kate and her dad started out with a typical slow dance and then surprised everyone with a choreographed routine that included basketballs and guitars! It was the best moment! We also snuck Kate’s parents outside during sunset photos to recreate a photo that they took on their own wedding day. Since Kate’s parents also had their wedding reception at the Blair Center, it was so fitting!
