I can’t believe the long holiday weekend went by so quickly! But it was definitely a wonderful four days spending time with family and friends! Jason and I started our holiday in East Liverpool at my parents house for Thanksgiving day. We ate entirely way too much, but it was a nice, relaxing day with my parents and grandparents. We spent the night watching the Steelers game, and I’m pretty sure I had my third piece of pecan pie for the day…
On Friday, we went to AT&T with my parents and they both got the new iPhone 7 plus. While I’m not sure how I feel about them both having a newer phone than me, we had a great time hanging out together and laughing at the fact that my dad, who never remembers he even has a phone, got one with 128 gb of storage. (That’s the one I want!) Then, on Saturday, we headed to Columbus to spend time with Jason’s family. When we arrived, we had even more leftovers and pie and watching the crazy Ohio State game! We ended the evening with our nieces at the Columbus Zoo Wildlights, which was beautiful!
And sinceĀ I was in Columbus, I finished up my long weekend by taking engagement photos for two of my friends, Joelle & Aaron. They’re getting married next June and I’m so excited that they asked me to document their best day ever! Thankfully the weather cooperated on Sunday and was fairly warm! I knew it was going to be a great session when I walked into their house and they greeted me with a Great Lakes Christmas Ale. After we finished our adult beverages, we explored Whetstone Park of Roses and eventually ended up downtown for cozy pictures by the water.
As I mentioned on my Instagram last night, nothing brings me more joy than capturing special times in my friends’ lives. Closing out this long holiday weekend feeling the same way I did when it started: thankful. Have a great week, friends!
