Where do I even start with Brittany & Andrew? They are two of the sweetest people you will ever meet! They are high school sweethearts that have known each other since preschool. Cutest thing ever, right?! Over the past year, we have been planning for their wedding day at Stambaugh Auditorium and I still can’t believe how perfect the entire day went! During our initial meeting, Brittany described her wedding as classy, timeless and elegant– and it was definitely all of those things! From the classic black tuxes and long blush bridesmaids dresses, to the flowers (from Jenny Wehr of the Willows by Wehr) and her gorgeous gown, every little detail was so well thought out and it showed.
I started the day photographing Brittany’s gorgeous blush details. (And if you’ve seen my new website, you already know that blush is my favorite color!) When I arrived, she had all of her details in a box waiting for me– which made that part of the day run so smooth! Once she arrived from getting her hair and makeup done, she handed me a bag with a gift in it–FOR ME! See what I mean? Sweetest bride ever. She had the most adorable sweatshirt embroidered with a camera and my monogram (in blush) on it. Does she know me, or what?! I can’t thank her enough for such a thoughtful gift!
After Brittany got into her dress, we headed to Thompson Park for their first look. And let me tell you, it was adorable! Andrew’s reaction is probably one of my favorites of all time! (You’ll see what I mean below!) We stayed at the park for a few portraits before heading down to Holy Trinity Church where they officially became husband and wife. Next, we headed to Stambaugh Auditorium in Youngstown, Ohio for their reception, but not before we spent some time taking portraits outside of the beautiful venue!
Thankfully the weather cooperated all day and we got to sneak outside for some sunset photos after dinner! It was such a great evening- especially since I got to see a ton of friends from our hometown at the reception! The party lasted well into the night and I didn’t want to leave because I was having such a great time! Oh, and I can’t forget the cake. You guys– they had banana cake from The Dutch House in Columbiana and I wanted to cry because it was SO DANG GOOD! I typically don’t eat wedding cake- I honestly can take it or leave it. But when I heard there was banana– watch out!
Brittany & Andrew: I couldn’t be happier for you both as you start this new chapter as husband and wife! I am so grateful that our paths crossed and that you chose me to document your best day ever! It was such an honor and I love you both!! I hope you’re having a blast in HHI and can’t wait for you to see all of the photos! Enjoy just a few of my favorites below!
