spring wedding in downtown cleveland: cleveland, ohio | molly & andrew

wedding

Where do I even begin with Molly & Andrew’s spring wedding in downtown Cleveland?! First of all, these two are seriously the sweetest! I may have only met them a few months ago, but I truly feel like we’ve been friends for years! When we walked into the Ritz Carlton, Molly greeted us with the biggest hug and she was so excited to get the day started! Typically hotel rooms have less than ideal lighting, but Molly’s suite at The Ritz was a photographers dream! I immediately got started shooting detail shots and taking photos of Molly and her girls. Once Molly got into her dress, we had time built into our day for bridal portraits– and I’m so glad we did! She looked stunning and I loved having extra time to take these photos of her in her dress.

In typical Cleveland wedding day fashion, there was a chance of rain. And even though it was May, it was really chilly outside! Luckily we had lots of natural light in Terminal Tower for Molly & Andrew’s first look– which was adorable by the way! After photos inside, we were able to head out into Public Square to take their portraits since it wasn’t raining yet. We almost got all of our photos done before the rain really started to pick up! We ran back inside and took a few photos of the guys with their light sabers– which was fitting since it was Star Wars Day! Another sweet set of images you’ll see below was of Molly & her dad. They also did a first look and they are some of my favorite images from the whole day!

After their ceremony at The English Oak Room, we headed back into Terminal Tower for family photos while the staff at Executive Caterers flipped the room. We headed back into the transformed reception space and it was absolutely stunning!  Of course I snuck the bride and groom out for sunset photos during the reception– and again, they are some of my favorite images of the day. There wasn’t an actual sunset and it was still very overcast– but none of that matters when you just enjoy the moments as husband and wife. At one point, I was standing pretty far away from Molly and Andrew taking their photos when a guy walked down the street from the casino. He stopped and wished them well and handed them what I thought was a $20 bill. Turns out, it was a $100 bill!! Seriously the sweetest gesture and something I’ve never seen before. (I obviously had to include a few photos of it!)

Molly & Andrew: I couldn’t have asked for a better couple to kick off my 2019 wedding season! Everything about your day was perfect and I’m so happy our paths crossed! Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness! Enjoy my favorites below!
