charlotte: in-home newborn photos | allison ewing photography

A few weeks ago, I headed to Columbus to meet baby Charlotte and take her in-home newborn photos. And if you know me at all, you also know that I couldn’t get there fast enough! I’ve said it before, but I’ll repeat is again: There’s nothing better than watching your best friend’s family grow and getting to photograph it all!

We started the session off with photos of the nursery and transitioned into full family photos, which are always my favorite! Luckily big-brother Sam has had my camera in his face since the day he was born, so we were able to capture some of the sweetest photos in a short amount of time! I should also note that Sam was potty training that weekend, so that allowed for lots of breaks where I could focus on photos of Charlotte and individual photos with her mom and dad! I also got to take photos of Sam to celebrate his third birthday, which I’ll share in a separate post soon!

In about 90 percent of my in-home newborn photo sessions, the babies sleep the majority of the time. But not Charlotte! She was wide awake the entire session and I love how she’s already looking right at my camera at just three weeks old! I guess that’s a good sign since she’ll have her photo taken by her Aunt Cheese (that’s me!) a lot!

I’m so excited to share my favorite photos with you below!
